I held a stamp class last Saturday that featured the new Build a Blossom stamp set and matching punch, Blossoms Petal Punch. The daffodil card below is one of four we created:
I felt like my paper daffodils needed to send this "thinking of you" card to my real daffodils in my yard, as this is what they were putting up with during my class to make paper daffodils! Will the real Spring please get here and stay?
The paper daffodils on my card above were made by punching six leaf shapes and one large petal shape out of Daffodil Delight cardstock using the Blossoms Petal Punch. I scored the leaf-shape petals in the middle to give them a little bit of shape and attached four to the front of my card. I next took the large petal shape piece and folded both sides over to make a cone shaped center of the daffodil. You can leave this piece rounded or flatten a little, as mine is, so it will fit into an envelope. I next added two more petals that were folded over as shown above. Maybe a little sponging would also look good around the edges of these petals.
Check in tomorrow for a Happy Birthday card we also made using the Build a Blossom stamp set.

so good to see you blogging again! Beautiful card! you're stampin' buddy, Carol
