It's Sample Punch Club Time!

My Thanks Bunny Card is hopping right into the mail today to thank my very quick gals for signing up for my new Sample Punch Club.

 

For those of you not on my mailing list and who didn't get a descriptive email about this, I am offering a new Sample Punch Club, meeting once a month for 10 months.  Each month we will create four 6" x 6" samples pages of punched designs.  These designs will be seasonal and can be used for creating cards, scrapbook pages, 3-D crafts and the options are just about limitless!!  The cost of the class is $10 to register, which also covers the cost of your scrapbook to keep your designs in.  Each month you will leave with your four sample designs inside plastic sleeves, so you can go home and put them right into your 6" x 6" scrapbook! 

 

These designs will be exclusive to this Sample Punch Club!  I won't feature these designs at other workshops or on my blog.  I am just going to say that I am VERY EXCITED to be offering this to my customers, as I LOVE TO CREATE WITH PUNCHES and am looking forward to really going crazy with this sample book.

AND ALSO, each month we will make two make and takes using two of our four new monthly designs.  So, we will be punching our way to a fabulous keepsake book that will be the envy of your stamping/scrapbooking friends, and you will OWN IT!

Have You Ever Made a UPS Man Out of Punches?

Or a better question is would you ever way to?

Well, he brings us so much happiness and excitement when he brings our Stampin' Up orders, that I just couldn't resist making this tribute card to him. 

 

I used our Loads of Love stamp set that I have had for awhile to create his UPS truck in the background.  I also used the phrase from Loads of Love that says "thought you could use a little pickup".  I used my Chocolate Chip marker to only mark "thought you could use a little .... up" and then I wrote "Stampin" freehand with the same Chocolate Chip marker.  So now his little UPS brown box says "thought you could use a little Stampin' Up!".  WELL, YES, ALWAYS!

I was inspired to make this card for my Spring Into Punches display at the Spring Into Stamping event in Champaign last weekend, from Heather Summers' blog where she had a UPS man created out of punches and used him as the background of a clock.  Too cute!!

These are the punches I used for my UPS man:

Body (chest) --Stampin' Up's large tag punch out of Chocolate Chip cardstock

Shorts -- Also Stampin' Up's large tag punch turned upside down and a piece snipped out with the star punch

Sleeves -- Stampin' Up's small oval punch snipped in half using Chocolate Chip cardstock

Arms -- 3-Heart punch, the small flat heart using Blush Blossom cardstock

Hands -- half of a flower from the Boho Flower Punch, using Blush Blossom cardstock

Nose -- 1/2" circle punch using Blush Blossom

Shoes -- the same heart used for his arms

Legs and socks -- Word Window Punch

Isn't he just the cutest?  What can I say, I LOVE STAMPIN' UP'S punches.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Well, it's St. Patrick's Day already, and  wanted to wish you all a Happy St. Patty's Day with this cute card I received in my swap at the Spring Into Stamping event I just attended in Champaign last weekend.  (Keep checking my blog to see what other adorable cards I received--maybe you will get some inspiration like I did)

Do You Like the New Look of My Blog?

Hey what do you think about the new look of my blog?  I had help from Heather Wright-Porto (Blogs By Heather) and Michelle Laycock (Laycock Designs) in getting my new look accomplished.  I love to type and make a living doing that, but the technical stuff is not up my alley.  Thanks girls!

I went to an amazing event this past weekend--Spring Into Stamping in Champaign, Illinois.  I was asked to present a demonstration and have a display table, so I did a display on different ways to use Stampin' Up's punches. (Can you believe it, me using punches!!)  I'll be posting lots more about this event as I want to share more of the amazing ideas I got from these talented gals.

Sweet Pea Stitched Felt Baby Headband

Ok, ok, this doesn't look much like a baby.  I don't have any "baby" friends who could have been my model nor do I have many baby dolls left in my house.  So, this teddy had to be the model for my latest suggestion for Sweet Pea Stitched Felt--a baby girl's headband:

Look What I Made To Show You Today!!

My new office needed some sprucing up, so I made an adorable decorated picture frame out of this Dollar Store picture frame.  I used a sheet of Stampin' Up's Sending Love designer series paper as my background, added my picture and adorned the remaining open squares with pieces from the Sweet Pea Stitched Felt set.

Day #2 of Sweet Pea Projects

Here's my next idea to spruce up my desk at work.  I wanted something for my desk to put notes on, pictures, reminders, so this note holder is what I came up with:

 

You just need one of those large black binder clips available at Wal-Mart or Staples.  I covered the base with designer paper, added a ribbon and Sweet Pea Stitched Felt pieces, and there you go!  Sweet and adorable.

You can attach your Sweet Pea Felt pieces with Stampin' Up's glue stick, as it states right on the stick that it is for paper, fabric, etc.  The glue stick works well, as does glue dots and Sticky Strip to hold these adorable pieces in place.

What Can I Do With the New SWEET PEA STITCHED FELT?

Well, I have ideas!  Don't you just love the new Sweet Pea Stitched Felt that Stampin' Up! is offering in the Occasions Mini Catalog, right?  If you haven't seen it yet, just turn to page 32 in your mini catalog (or look at the catalog just by clicking on the icon on the left of this posting).  It is cute in the catalog, ok?  But in person, wowsa!  I am in love with it.

Of course, the first thing we think of is cards or scrapbook pages, and they are lovely on a card:

 

This is a very delicate and girly look when paired with our Sending Love Specialty designer series paper that is also in the Occasions mini catalog.  The paper has glitter on one side of each page--even prettier in person.  This card was made using the Scalloped Square die cut and my Big Shot machine (same die used for the quilted rag purses).

Anyway, each day I want to show you my newest ideas on what we can use these adorable felt pieces for besides scrapbook pages and cards, which of course I love too.

Here's my new keychain:

I gotta tell you that I came up with this idea out of necessity (besides it's adorable).  Those of who you know me in person know I go to a lot of my kids volleyball, basketball, soccer, baseball, softball (any sport with a ball) games and I never take my purse.  I just want to stick my keys in my pocket and go, but the are key chains are bulky and always "pinch" me when I am sitting down, so I wanted a "soft" keychain.  Well, here you go.  The background fabric matches my new rag quilt purse (which I will also show you soon).
