What Have You Heard About Build-A-Bear and Stampin' Up?

I want to tell you the whole scoop about Build-A-Bear teaming up with Stampin' Up! 

Who doesn't love going to a Build-A-Bear Workshop store and helping their kids or grandkids pick out, make and adopt their own Build-A-Bear.  I have taken many trips to Build-A-Bear myself when my kids were younger.  When I had a whole house fire at my home several years ago, their Build-A-Bears were one of the lost items that just couldn't be replaced, they meant so much to my kids.  

Stampin' Up has partnered with Build-A-Bear Workshop to produce the first-ever paper-crafting products featuring Build-A-Bear Workshop brand, and they are exclusive to Stampin' Up! now.  You can't get these anywhere else but from Stampin' Up!  These products include stamp sets, Designer Series papers, and Sizzix dies providing you, your kids, grandkids and friends endless hand crafted possibilities for scrapbook pages, cards, invitations, home decor and more. 

Let me show you the Build-A-Bear Workshop Collection displays by Stampin' Up that I was privileged to see while at the recent Stampin' Up annual convention:

Look at these darling bears framed for fun in your little girl's room!

This is a peek at the stamp set currently being released in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini catalog, which is in the mail right now.  All of these items I am showing you from convention will be available in that catalog.

How cute are these guys?  They are Beary Versatile, Beary Fun!

 

Look at this gift bag and matching card!  Oh my goodness, I can't wait to get my hands on these!  These are going to be featured at my craft fairs the next few months.  What do you think?

And what about this idea for a birthday party theme?  Invitations, party hats, and gift bags!

 

I would love to show my ideas off to you at a workshop in your home.  Don't have room in your home, then hold a workshop with your friends at my house.  When was the last time you got a chance to get out with your girlfriends and just be girls?  Come on, we big girls have to have fun too!

I'm Back from Convention!! Wow!!

I'm back and I'm fine!  (My computer is not my friend right now--it's been too stubborn to work the way I want it to!!  I may tell  you more about that later.)  Anyway, after taking the computer to the computer doctor and then it failing again, I missed some time that I wanted to use to post to my website. 

What a whirlwind experience going to the annual Stampin' Up! Convention is!  My convention buddies and I flew from St. Louis to Salt Lake City on August 4 and returned on August 8.  Only at night when we were too exhausted to move did we slow down!  Here we are after shopping at the marvelous Memento Mall, where demonstrators can shop for exclusive Stampin' Up! goodies that are only available at the convention! 

 

The Salt Palace in downtown Salt Lake City was filled with 3,000 Stampin' Up! demonstrators, and I am telling you there wasn't a quiet, shy girl (or guy) in the place.  The big thing to do is swap cards, so everywhere you go--classes, shopping, eating lunch, walking down the hallways--everyone you meet is asking to swap cards.   I had a chance to talk to Shelli Gardner, the owner and president of Stampin' Up! and I gave her one of my cards.  You guys might recognize my blue jeans/Choo Choo card--well she loved it!  And Shelli told me how much she liked the way it looked like a shadow behind the choo choo train.  Wow!  (I think I am Demonstrator of the Year now, although I didn't get my award yet.)

  Whoo hoo--I have such great respect for her opinion (can you tell by my smile?)

Then here was our posed picture--she had two nice, entertaining (good looking) guys taking pictures while I talked with Shelli.  (I think she wants me to be co-chair of the company with her now!  See how excited she was to talk to me!!  I think she will be calling me any day now.)

 

My other highlight was traveling to Riverton (about 20 minutes away from Salt Lake City) to take a tour or the Stampin' Up! main offices and distribution center.  This is the entrance to the facility.  Check out the beautiful scenery in the background!  The mountains were so gorgeous.

 

All of the demonstrators were allowed to wander around the building and have a look at where the staff at Stampin' Up! hangs out all day (and wish we worked there, by the way!)  We were treated like queens and felt very welcome!

 

This is the center of the office building, with a large atrium complete with a rock fountain with a running waterfall in the middle.
