Guess where I get to go this weekend? To Champaign, Illinois for the yearly Spring Into Stamping Event put on by Meg Loven and Kim Peck, two fantastic Stampin' Up! demonstrators. This is one of the perks I have for being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator--I get to go to exclusive events like this to receive more training and be a student! My upline and some of my sister stampers are going, and we always have a blast. These are also my convention buddies. We all love stamping and you would think you were with a bunch of kids seeing toys for the first time, with all of our "oohs, awes, and wows"!
First thing, I get to attend a Leadership Share tonight (Friday) and then go to the big event tomorrow (Sat.). Tonight's Leadership Share will be some great business tips for us demos on how to provide even better service for our customers and tips on running our home-based businesses. (No one can lay me off--I am my own boss!)
Now, I wanted you to take a look at two of my swaps I will be trading at this event (I have four different ones). Swapping is one of my favorite parts of a Stampin' Up! event. In case you don't know, when you "swap", you make a card or 3-D item of your choice that you think others will enjoy, and then you and the other gals "swap" or trade your card for theirs. That way you get tons of new and fresh ideas from others who we don't see all of the time, thus again making my business better.
This first card uses Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Summer Sun, and Whisper White cardstocks, plus the Good Morning Sunshine Designer Paper from Stampin' Up! I used the Matchbox Messages stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalog and the Great Friend Stamp Set from that booklet too.
This shows my butterfly a little better.
Now this card uses several designs from a variety of our designer series papers. I sewed them on the sewing machine, so those are actually stitches, not marker. The greeting is from All In the Family and Family Phrases Stamp Sets. Then I have used the Big Shot and the Top Note Bigz Die to cut this entire design out.
Stampin' Up! is celebrating National Scrapbooking Month in May with some great specials for us. The best special is a Buy 3-Get 1 Free Special on all of our designer series papers and Textured 12" x 12" Cardstocks. You can click on the "On-Line Ordering" button at the top of this page to place an order with me for any of these papers, and you can even place that order at 2:00 a.m. if you want to!!

Really like your card. Good Morning Sunshine is one of my favorites of the designer paper. Thanks for sharing!
