Sale-A-Bration Is Coming!! Are you Ready?

Sale-A-Bration is one of the most exciting times in the Stampin' Up! year.  Everyone likes free stuff!  This year is no different.  You should have received your Sale-A-Bration brochure in the mail by now.  You will see that there are new stamp sets, ribbons and designer papers that can be yours for free.  With this crazy economy, why not treat yourself to some quality stamping products for no cost at all? 
There are lots of ways to earn these free items.
1)  You can hostess a party/workshop for me and earn a free stamp set or product from the Sale-A-Bration catalog for every $300 you have in sales! With the new catalog just being released, you are sure to find items your friends would enjoy and need!  (And don't forget, the Valentine class on January 30 is free to you if you already have a party/workshop on my calendar for Sale-A-Bration.--$20 value)
2)  You will earn a free Sale-A-Bration stamp set, ribbon or designer paper for every $50 in orders you place yourself or collect for me from your friends.  You can go online and order directly from my Demonstrator Website after February 1, and you will also get a free catalog with every order you place.  Even if you have a new catalog already, there is an extra to share with a friend.
3)  Sale-A-Bration is a great time to decide to be a Stampin' Up! demonstrator like me!!  Where else can you have a party every time you go to work?  I love being a Stampin' Up! gal, I enjoy the extra income and it allows me to justify taking time to stamp!!  Sometimes my life demands take over and my passions get swept under the rug, but when I am actively involved in doing workshops and classes, I get to stamp to my heart's content and share my love of stamping with you guys!!  Anyway, during Sale-A-Bration, the extra incentive to sign up to be a demonstrator is that you get to pick any stamp set in the big catalog for free (that's up to a $47.95 value) just for signing up between February 1 and March 31.  Just ask me about all the fun I have had since being a demo and all the great get-togethers I have with my Stampin' Up! friends!  I'd love to welcome you aboard the Stampin' Up! ship. 

I have two of the new Sale-A-Bration stamp sets.  This free stamp set is called Polka Dot Punches and is made to coordinate with four of our most popular punches. 
Recognize my card?  I just copied it directly off of the front of the Sale-A-Bration brochure--I love how Stampin' Up! gives me so many ideas on how to use my products!! 
See how easy?  It's fresh and Springy, I love it.

I used So Saffron cardstock as the base.  Next I stamped So Saffron, Bashful Blue, Regal Rose, Kiwi Kiss and Old Olive inks in a random pattern.  I stamped the scalloped design again and punched it out with the scallop punch, popped it up with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I used the mat pack to pierce a row of dots all the way around the mat of Bashful Blue cardstock.  Easy and fun to make.

More Samples for Love You Much Valentine Bundle Class

Here are a few more samples I came up with that are suggestions to do at the Love You Much Valentine Bundle Class.  All of those who register for the class can vote for the projects to be made at the class on January 30!!  Make sure to RSVP to me by Monday, Jan. 26 so you can attend this class.  The class is $20, but the fee can be waived and you can come for free, if you will book a party/workshop between Feb. 1 and March 31, during our Sale-A-Bration event.  The Love You Much Valentine Bundle is available at 20% discount until January 31.

This is a mini treat bag made with the Big Shot Top Note Bigz Die Cut.  Attach to a small lunch bag and add a handle and embellish.  Cute for school treat bags or for that special someone you love.

This is an embellished single wrapped peppermint lifesaver.  Cute, huh?

This 5-1/2" x 5-1/2" square card has a scalloped envelope from my Big Shot die cut machine and a cut out heart peeking out of the envelope.  The words Love You Much say it all!

One More Love You Much Bundle Sample

This cutsie little card was also made with the Love You Much Bundle that is the subject of my class scheduled for January 30 at 6:30 p.m.
I used Pink Piroquette cardstock as the base of the card, Whisper White that has had the bottom edge scalloped with our Scalloped Edge Punch, Riding Hood Red Striped Ribbon, the Curvy Label Punch, the Heart to Heart Punch, Love You Much stamp set and the Heart from the Heart stamp set.  What do you think of it?  Send me a comment on this card and receive one from me in the mail!!

Spring Into Stamping Extravaganza

I have a big announcement of a FIRST OF ITS KIND EVENT in the Mt. Vernon, Illinois area!  I am excited to announce the Spring Into Stamping Extravaganza that is being put on by myself and my fellow Stampin' Up Demonstrators in Southern Illinois.

WHEN IS THIS FABULOUS EVENT:  Saturday, February 14, 2009, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

WHERE WILL THIS EVENT BE HELD:  Wesley United Methodist Church, 1601 North Salem Road,
Mt. Vernon, Illinois

COST:  FREE, FREE, FREE  This is a free event for you!

This OPEN HOUSE-Style Event's purpose is for my fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators to demonstrate NEW products from the Spring/Summer 2009 catalog (just released Jan. 19) to our customers! This will be a chance for you to see more of the new catalog's stamps & accessories all in one day without purchasing all of it yourself! Because there are SO MANY new products in the catalog it would take a lot of money to purchase the new products, just to see if you like them!! The idea of this event is to have a one-day demonstration event to show MORE products to MORE customers all in ONE place!  Of course, if you see products you would like to purchase, we will be able to take orders that day also.

Each demonstrator will have her own table and you will move from table to table and have the opportunity to see the demonstrations and stamp your make and takes.  We will provide all supplies, just bring a tote to carry your make and takes in.

There will be lots of samples to look at and enjoy, so bring your camera!  And, of course, we will be serving light refreshments.  Come and plan to stay to see all of the demonstrations.

My New Shirt (I'm Bragging)

I received a nice surprise in my mailbox yesterday.  My sister had actually given me this shirt for a Christmas present, but then took it right back when I asked her to put my blog address on the back.  This is the story behind this shirt:  My sister and I had gone to the Stampin' Up convention in Salt Lake City, Utah last August with four other fellow demonstrators.  (We had the time of our lives, by the way.  Did I say major fun?)  We saw several women at the convention with a shirt like this and talked about what fun it would be to have some ourselves.  I hope the saying shows up well in the picture, but just in case it doesn't, the shirt says "It's all fun and games until someone loses an eyelet".   Well, my sister, being clever like she is, went home and made me one for Christmas.  How fun will it be for me to wear it to stamping events and get to remember our great times at convention!!  This is the front of the shirt:

Another Valentine Sample

This Valentine Sample was made with the Love You Much Valentine stamp set, the Candy Lane Designer paper and Big Shot.  The Pink Piroquette cardstock and designer paper were cut with the Top Note Bigz Die using the Big Shot.  The little lovebirds were stamped with Close to Cocoa ink and matted with a circle of Pink Piroquette and a scallop punch of Riding Hood Red.  This I used the delicate Riding Hood Red taffeta ribbon that is edged in Very Vanilla.  I used the Round Tab Punch to make a pull tab for the card that is inserted inside.  I think this turned out to be quite adorable.

I will be featuring a sample each day made from this collection of Valentine goodies.  This paper is so sweet--it is 12 designs made from Riding Hood Red, Close to Cocoa and Pink Piroquette.  I love how Stampin' Up! uses not traditional colors for holidays!  There is a lot more to Valentine's Day that red and white!

I received the sweetest gift in my mailbox on Sunday!  My friend/customer, Lyna, and I figured out that January 18 was our "One Year Stampiversary" because she had first gone to her friend's workshop on January 18 of last year.  She left me a gift in my mailbox with a card that said "Happy Stampiversary, 1 year ago today, my life changed".  She is right, stamping can change your life!  It makes some of us obsessed with the date when the new catalog comes out, it required me to sign up to be a demonstrator so I could have more facets of information to quench my desire for more, more, more stampin' products and ideas!  Lyna, how about it?  Why don't you sign up with me to be a demonstrator?  Think of all of the advantages!  Your passion and enthusiasm for stamping is quite contageous, and you would be so good at spreading ideas and energy!

Love You Much Class

Well January is flying by faster than December!  My daughter Taylor will be 14 years old on Valentine's Day.  She was the sweetest Valentine I ever received.  With her birthday, of course, comes Valentine's Day, and I used to be able to fix her heart cakes and cupcakes with hearts, but she doesn't like that much any more now that she is a TEENAGER.

Valentine's Day is especially busy at our house because of her birthdays.  But I did want to give you a heads up on my Valentine Love You Much Class that I will be holding on Friday, January 30.  That will give you time to plan on which of your sweeties you need to make a gift or card for.  Do you like this card I made for a Valentine's Day Swap I was in?

Stampin' Up will not be carrying the linen 6" x 6" scrapbooks, the chipboard bitty books have been discontinued, the cute gingham ribbons are leaving, several styles of rub-ons are being discontinued, several Stampin' Around Wheels, and lots of gorgeous papers, some of the Simply Scrappin' kits, and some punches.

I would encourage you to act now if you see a product you would like to order.  This promotion is only available for two weeks, and only while their supplies last.
