Well, I am back from one of the most exciting weeks of my life! I feel so fortunate to work for one of the most popular crafting companies in the world, to be treated like a queen by my company, and to have such wonderful friends (and sister) to go and enjoy convention with.
Everyday there were new announcements of new products to push the company forward. The last thing you will see from Stampin' Up is that they will let any moss grow under their feet. The company is constantly changing to keep up with current trends in design and style, current products and technology. The new online ordering will be great for consumers who want to place an order at their convenience, or even at 2:00 a.m. in their jammies.
And the swapping and mayheim associated with that was exhilerating! Motivation was everywhere. I will be sharing some of my swaps I received, just so you can take a look at all of the creative stampers at the Stampin' Up convention 2008.
I know everyone is waiting patiently for their catalog, but I received mine at the convention, and all I can say is FABULOUS! The girls I know in Mt. Vernon, Illinois haven't received theirs yet, although I have received a few e-mails from girls on the east coast who have received theirs.
There are so many new amazing designer papers, ribbons, silver brads, and vanilla hodgepodge hardware! Not to even mention the stamp sets. My favorite stamp set is the Under the Stars, which has a chubby bear, mosquito, "skeeter spray",s'mores, "beans on a stick", and even has a matching wheel with more "skeeters". One of the most popular new sets at convention was the sock money set. This set has an accessory set also with a birthday cake and a hat to where, pretty stinkin' cute!
Give me a day to get my pictures downloaded, and I'll let you see what I mean!
Remember, only 5 more days to order from the old catalog--let me know if you need anything.
